Nonconsensual Deepfakes

Technology has gotten so crazy that AI has already gotten so good in such a short manner of time, every month it's improving/adapting, I can't even make out the fake voices anymore.

It's gonna be a 1984/Bladerunner future for our grandkids, end days are near.

The way Basra talk she could be baddie in her 40s you just don’t know.
:mjlol: Maybe in some alternate reality.
You only get triggered when someone attacks your qabiil lmfao
:trumpsmirk:What's wrong with that? She tried to provoke, and it failed.
You'd be surprised, some men look at all women as a meal 👀
I presume you're speaking about yourself?
She's the biggest qabiilist on this forum don't let her erudite/ conscious vibe fool you 👀
I'm far from 'qabilist.'

They want you to sit back and say nothing. At least I show restraint. I could drag Basra with ease but realized it's pointless arguing with someone who is mentally disorganized.

I would say the fake voices are still detectable. However, the pace at which it is evolving is rapid. I tried using my voice and then comparing it to Ai. The AI version sounds artificial and lacks any sense of character or rhythm.

:salute:They should be grateful that I'm calm and measured. They have never seen me in action. If Basra were sane and came for me, she'd be silenced like Bertha in Jane Eyre. I'm sure a cadaan jaceyl like herself would get the literary reference. Karbaashed back to her Victorian-era classics.

It behooves me that a thread about a real and growing threat to people especially women could be derailed.

Let me put this into perspective. With a single image someone could generate a fake nude or worse. This is no longer limited to notable figures but everyday people.

Considering you guys speak incessantly about trolls online. Imagine if they scale up the damage. Technology is becoming increasingly more sophisticated and realistic.

Sexploitation is no longer just focused on revenge images of someone's real content leaked. There are also revenge p laws. What about manufactured images used to degrade and humiliate someone with a disfavourable view or just for mere gratification (for personal use)? In the clip I posted in spoiler some guy from Oregon made fake explicit images of 40 girls in his high school.

It just takes one to do a lot of damage. Also, Laws struggle to keep up with tech innovations. It is hard to police with third parties. Along with across jurisdictions. States/Provinces or across Countries. In the UK, there was a recent Online Safety Bill passed but no clarity about enforcement. Also, what about determining who is responsible.

In the US, this is quite different. Companies have no liability of hosting this content. Also, I'm not sure if this falls under the milieu of anti-revenge p laws as it is manufactured content. There is also no federal law to prevent its creation or sharing.

In Canada, you may have grounds for negligence against service providers for hosting. Canadian laws may not be equipped to tackle this issue. Though one may be able to pursue action under demation, false light, intention of inflicting emotional distress, breach of confidence, copyright, privacy tort. One can also seek recourse based on economic harms.

Apparently, 96% of all deepfakes are p*rnographic with the majority of the victims being women. I remember seeing a deepfake of the plane lady wearing a bikini on twitter which went viral and had thousands of men sexualising her and talking about how they “bashed to it”. Also, another case of a deepfake situation that went viral was that of a twitch streamer who was caught watching deepfake p0rnos of his two female streamer friends.

Women are objectified to the point that men feel as though they have the right to access their bodies, even if it’s not real. AI is developing so fast and ruined many lives, with the potential of ruining much more. To be honest, I don’t think any major change will take place unless it negatively affects some rich, powerful person.

Basra, as always, you're divisive for no reason. And the Queen of derailment. If you want a clan discussion, go to FKD or politics.

You would think it would be limited to public figures, but this has happened to millions of women. Many of which don't have large social media followings.

You are correct. There is very little interest in actual enforcement. I was unaware of the pervasiveness of this. However, I came across a documentary of a graduate student that's classmate created false p of her and circulated it. :damn:All because of a small gripe. I think its called "Another Body." How much does one need to hate some one for them to go to such lengths? It's crazy.
Her playful demeanor alone makes one curious, about who’s really behind that screen. I admire her no f ‘s given attitude, truly unique in this snow flake era.
You seem intrigued.

Someone needs to figure out how to make deepfakes of every adult on the internet. Politicians, sportsman, singers. Once it becomes so mundane and commonplace, the blackmailing/attempted humiliation would not work as intended.:yacadiim:

Lol. The problem is many men, particularly those public figures, don't appear to care. I think they may even be used to mock imagery. It's women who constitute the bulk of these X-rated deepfakes.

I would presume this has adverse psychological effects. People could destroy reputations, particularly with these fakes becoming more advanced. I know this has costs to every community. Especially those from socially conservative backgrounds. Nowadays, you don't even need a real picture or imagery. One taken from a Facebook or Instagram account would suffice. Photoshop expertise isn't even required.

So if someone is not caadi and has a falling out with you, or seems to be taken by you, then there isn't much stopping them from doing this. Other than the fear of the law. Most people would not do this; however, it only takes one meanspirited person.

I think for more men to care more about this, they would have to be framed for 'grape' or 'murder' via deep fakes. @HafM mentioned that it would have to become serious for higher-ups to care.
Deserves jail time and I think it is a crime anyway
I agree. Tough laws would probably be the only deterrent.
Not as intrigued as I am by someone else.
