Deni always had a majority in parliament, and parliament want free & fair elections. He also had the support of the 9 ururs as all 9 have now become parties. No more BS 3 party limit a la idoorland.

PEC will determine the roadmap and it doesn't exist yet. One of the questions is how SSC MPs would be elected. Deni probably is focusing on getting re-elected, otherwise he has to get at least 3 years of extension to participate in the federal elections. I don't think those elections happening in 2026. So extension that long is extremely unlikely.

Technical extension doesn’t require parliament. It’s what he did the last term and Farmaajo after Badbaado qaran. And opposition will support it too as the president hands over election powers.
