When in reality Somalia is one of worlds highest exporter of meat/livestock, myrh, frankincense, sesame, lemons and banana. It is also growing exporter of seafood. Blue states have more diversified economy whereas red states rely on a single industry like oil or agriculture among many other things. New Mexico is the only equivelant Democrat run state that is poor the rest are Republican. It's an outlier for a number of reasons and Alabama is one of the poorest states in the country

When Tech companies move to poor republican states and towns to avoid taxes they actually just take advantage of poor communities and lax regulation rather than making it a better place to live in. Most of the money they even generate is not even reinvested into the community and they rely on cheap labor.
For example for this town , SpaceX has caused earthquakes, rampant workplace injuries, skirted regulations, threatened wildlife, and displaced local communities, while securing millions in corporate welfare.

Since they don't pay taxes in red states none of the money these companies generate is re-invested into the areas from which they operate. They literally just extract and displace people.
We already saw with the MAGA outrage over Indian HB1 debacle and it's solely due to corporate greed. But they don't get that it's linked to republican policies that enable it. In total they are going to cut 2 trillion dollars according to Elon , slashing away. If you cut those dollars out of the system, the growth of the US economy will decline.
