Who would want to dress like that in this day and age. I don't mind wearing a shaati iyo macawis and dacas miskiin anything other then that seems like a hassle

I wear whatever, plus every culture in the world has imported some of their stuff.

Somalis did adopt a lot of things from trading with others but it's wrong to call it authentic Somali cultural garments.

Macawiis is east African, yemeni and south asian. Sure it may have originated in one country and spread to us but we have worn it so long that it is part of our culture now. The macawiis we wear today is pretty much the same as the lower garment somali nomads use to wear. Cultures evolve over time. Not a big deal
