He posted "Isaaq gang" and then someone in the comments said "don't be a tribalist".

Why is it a big deal if someone identifies with their region, separatist state or even, their clan?
Somalis need to learn the difference between clan and clannism. If someone is not harming another clan or being rude, offensive and so forth, please leave them alone.

It's so cringy seeing Somalis push Somalia's flag on people who clearly claim and identify with another country. The Somali ethnic group existed long before the existence of a Somali state, we have Djiboutians who are also Somali.

Well Chunkz and Maya Jama are all Isaaq and they should be proud of their background. I think her brother was clout chasing with what he said because their success is not rooted in qabil and they have supporters from all qabils who are proud of their success.

I think that most Somalis are proud of their clans, but when they are adressing or are in the presence of other clans, they dont utter or talk about their clan. I would never mention "MJ gang" in the presence of Rahanweyn or Hawiye cause i know that would be perceived as if im distancing myself from them, or are better then them.

Its not qabyaalad but its an unspoken code not to boast about your clan in front of other Somalis.
