There are Ethiopian maids who go to Sudan in their thousands, do you think Sudan has a high amount of middle class and rich people?. No. These maids are on like less than a 100 dollars per month, some even way less than that plus they are usually illegal migrants without documented papers. So if they go to the police and complain they will be arrested and deported. Most don't complain because they need the money.
