U cant lump the south all together, its more diverse

Mudug dialect is the standard and best imo

I agree with your first point sxb. But I'd also like to add that Waqooyi is very diverse also.

Someone from Burao for example can understand someone from Gaalkacyo very easily while someone from Gabiley can understand Reer Jijiga without much problems as well.

I'm sure they have a lot of loanwords as well, our only Rahanweyn member @madamelioness doesn't post here anymore. @Amun told us Rahanweyn people don't have internet and I'm starting to believe this now. How are they so large yet almost nonexistent online? :mindblown:

The Somali diaspora mainly consists of Darod, Hawiye, Isaaq, and Reer Xamar (Benadiris).

All the other groups barely left Somalia.
