Ottawa's becoming expensive as well. And unless they speak French, there's not much for Somalis in that city. I just don't see a mass exodus out of Tdot anytime soon unless they're leaving the province entirely.

They learned English and can learn French as well. You’re right that housing in Ottawa is becoming just as expensive as Toronto. If the Somalis in Toronto haven’t accrued property, they’ll stay in government housing. It makes no sense to pay $1000 more for the same shit. Somalis need to go and conquer the other provinces. If they went to the tuulos, they could live a better quality life. I like Tdot as much as the next person but when a 2 bed 2 bath rundown shack is going a million dollars, you need to move. What is the point of buying a home just to live paycheck to paycheck paying a mortgage? They need to flock to Edmonton or Calgary where home prices are reasonable and where there’s a Somali community.

If you can’t make it in America or any other western country, I don’t think there’s anywhere in the world you can make it.
