K-pop is getting a lot of coverage in recent years and people are inclined to listen to music that is readily available and catchy.
Any reasoning you come up with, I can make the exact same excuse as well.

Hobbies are hobbies.

But you were tryna say that it's because men copy each other. It's not that at all. And K-Pop doesn't belong in the same conversation as football. And I wouldn't say Korean music is very catchy or more importantly, understandable. It isn't an excuse, it's just the truth.
