I gave you almost a week to answer for this statement
It’s been almost a week and you haven’t answered this question! (Don’t mind the insults and lies)
I went through the UN digital library and found the 1960 Resolution for Somalias Independence.
Voting Summary
Yes: 89 | No: | Abstentions: 9 | Non-Voting: 1 | Total voting membership: 99
No country rejected Somalia’s Independence but Belgium, Portugal, Australia, Dominican Republic, France, Dominican Republic, South Africa (Apartheid), USA and UK abstained.
Now I went even further and found the 1949 Resolution on Somalia becoming a Trust Territory for 10 years of which we’d be granted full independence by 1960. Kinda like a 10 year transition period.
I will put all of it under a spoiler but only one country dissented and it was Ethiopia.
The countries that abstained were Byelorussia, Czechoslovakia, France, New Zealand, Poland, Ukraine, USSR and Yugoslavia.
Before this passed there was another proposed resolution called the Bevin-Sforza plan. It was a resolution for North African and East African Italian colonies of which Somalia would be under Italian trusteeship indefinitely and without any plans for Independence. This plan was supported by the USA, France, and various other Western nations but bitterly opposed by Asian and Arab countries (India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Yemen).
Haiti was expected to vote in favour of the western countries but their final vote saved us from being colonized even longer. Haitian diplomat, Emile Saint-Lot, shockingly went against Italy and voted against their plan. Which meant there weren’t enough votes for it to pass.
@Kane Where did you get your sources from? Which Arab countries voted against us and when did Israel become our savior? If it weren’t for Muslim countries, we’d been an Italian colony for longer. Perhaps you are talking about Somaliland or Galbeed but Galbeed never had a vote, and during the 1949 Resolution, British troops were forced to move out of Somalia, Idk if this means the trusteeship included the north but I will let you prove your claims. For now, all the sources I can find, prove that your statement was utter bullcrap.

Many somalis are docile and submissive towards Arabs, when all they have done is oppose our existence. Because they compare modern Arabs, to the Prophet SCW and his companions who were made up of honorable men and women.
When Somalias independence was put to vote in the U.N all the arab countries voted against, and Israel voted for. And this was after our Forefathers use to feed them, with somali livestock and Farm produce for generations before they had access to oil. Somalia used to be called the arab food basket and this history was taught in Arab schools up until the 90s. when the Somali government collapsed.
Arab only understand the language of strength and nothing more, that why i Respect Israel for putting the entire Arab world under their heels, where they belong.
don't forget Al Shabaab is an Arab organizations made to kill and make innocent somalis.
@Qeelbax i didn't know your love of Ajinabi, would make you defend the killing of innocent somalis at the hands of Pakis. Ileen Naag wa kii iskalahaa, your patriotic card is revoked nayaa.
I’d like proof for these claims? Somalia was unanimously admitted into the UN. Are you talking about the 1949 Resolution?
@KaneYou didn’t answer my question!![]()
