@Kane, it’s been a week since you made your claim about Arabs not wanting us to be independent and Israel saving us

I gave you almost a week to answer for this statement

:drakewtf:

Many somalis are docile and submissive towards Arabs, when all they have done is oppose our existence. Because they compare modern Arabs, to the Prophet SCW and his companions who were made up of honorable men and women.

When Somalias independence was put to vote in the U.N all the arab countries voted against, and Israel voted for. And this was after our Forefathers use to feed them, with somali livestock and Farm produce for generations before they had access to oil. Somalia used to be called the arab food basket and this history was taught in Arab schools up until the 90s. when the Somali government collapsed.

Arab only understand the language of strength and nothing more, that why i Respect Israel for putting the entire Arab world under their heels, where they belong.

don't forget Al Shabaab is an Arab organizations made to kill and make innocent somalis.

@Qeelbax i didn't know your love of Ajinabi, would make you defend the killing of innocent somalis at the hands of Pakis. Ileen Naag wa kii iskalahaa, your patriotic card is revoked nayaa.

I’d like proof for these claims? Somalia was unanimously admitted into the UN. Are you talking about the 1949 Resolution?
You didn’t answer my question
🙋🏽‍♀️
!

When did Arabs vote against our independence?
@Kane
It’s been almost a week and you haven’t answered this question! (Don’t mind the insults and lies)
:mjpls:

I went through the UN digital library and found the 1960 Resolution for Somalias Independence.

Voting Summary
Yes: 89 | No: | Abstentions: 9 | Non-Voting: 1 | Total voting membership: 99

No country rejected Somalia’s Independence but Belgium, Portugal, Australia, Dominican Republic, France, Dominican Republic, South Africa (Apartheid), USA and UK abstained.

Now I went even further and found the 1949 Resolution on Somalia becoming a Trust Territory for 10 years of which we’d be granted full independence by 1960. Kinda like a 10 year transition period.

I will put all of it under a spoiler but only one country dissented and it was Ethiopia.

The countries that abstained were Byelorussia, Czechoslovakia, France, New Zealand, Poland, Ukraine, USSR and Yugoslavia.

Before this passed there was another proposed resolution called the Bevin-Sforza plan. It was a resolution for North African and East African Italian colonies of which Somalia would be under Italian trusteeship indefinitely and without any plans for Independence. This plan was supported by the USA, France, and various other Western nations but bitterly opposed by Asian and Arab countries (India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Yemen).

Haiti was expected to vote in favour of the western countries but their final vote saved us from being colonized even longer. Haitian diplomat, Emile Saint-Lot, shockingly went against Italy and voted against their plan. Which meant there weren’t enough votes for it to pass.

@Kane Where did you get your sources from? Which Arab countries voted against us and when did Israel become our savior? If it weren’t for Muslim countries, we’d been an Italian colony for longer. Perhaps you are talking about Somaliland or Galbeed but Galbeed never had a vote, and during the 1949 Resolution, British troops were forced to move out of Somalia, Idk if this means the trusteeship included the north but I will let you prove your claims. For now, all the sources I can find, prove that your statement was utter bullcrap.

Unshockingly, I found that Westerners didn’t want us to be independent. Arab nations on the other hand wanted the other Muslim nations to be given independence.

If his statement was true, arab haters and murtads would be screaming about it 24/7.

I don’t believe every Arab is my friend but I will not lie on nations that quite literally helped prevent us from being Italy’s colony for a longer period, proof above, and then claim Israel was on our side. It’s a shameless statement that I’ve seen on here a few times and I wanted to find out the truth. I’m still giving Kane the opportunity to bring his sources if his claims are true. I haven’t ruled it out entirely as I’m not 100% certain that his claims are false but I’m unable to find proof of his claims.

The Somali Youth League (SYL), founded in 1943, was established to achieve independence for Somalia. They established relations with Israel in 1950, with Israel supporting their push for independence. Israel voted in support of an independent Somalia in 1952, but the vote did not pass due to Arab countries voting against it.

In 1960, Israel again voted in support of Somalia becoming an independent country. Golda Meir, the Israeli Foreign Minister at the time, met Abdullahi Issa, the Somalia Minister of Foreign Affairs in New York, and was invited to attend the celebration of Somalia’s independence in Mogadishu on 1 July 1960.

In 1976, Somali President Mohamed Siad Barre contacted Israeli Foreign Minister Yigal Allon, asking for support for French Somaliland independence. Israel supported the idea, and Djibouti gained independence from France in 1977.

My source tells me that relations between the two countries have been “good and secret,” with Israel “always being at the forefront” in supporting Somalia. He laments the fact that Somalia listened to the Arab league, and held itself back when it came to full-blown relations with Israel, relations which would have resulted in a much more prosperous Somalia.

“I gave you almost a week to answer for this statement”

You give yourself too much credit.

Let me ask you something, if this was about any other group of people. would you have fought, just as hard in defending their innocence?

And why can’t I find anything on this 1952 voting? I sited real resolutions from the UN. Arab nations voted in support of an independent Somalia 3 years prior.

Why are you so keen on making it seem like Arab nations hate us while bootyclapping for Israel? Weirdos like you only feel insecure when it comes to Arabs. I’m not defending Arabs, I’m defending the truth.

Typical anti-arab bs. People like this love to paint us as people who feel inferior, when they are the ones with an inferiority complex.

You just copied this from a hiraan online article and it literally gives no source for this claim, there was no vote on Somalia in 1952, the international community already gave Somalia to Italian trusteeship in 1949 with the promise of Somalia becoming independent 10 years later.

You can look this up in the book I attached attached on the history of Somalia from 1950-1960
