I couldn't wrap my head around their thinking. Their thinking is so alien to me.

It's funny to me because it shows how I sort of project on to them- sort of like I hear the people in Afghanistan think they're fighting Christian crusaders. I just sort of assume automatically that the liberals will come up with their own liberal scholars.

However, I think you hit the nail on the head- I don't think it's that they want to replace the scholars with liberal scholars but they just want to do away with scholars entirely. I suppose the somewhat more intellectual ones will gather around their own fake scholars but the masses of these I think will just simply reject the notion of scholars altogether.

This is barbarism. This is nothing less than a push to destroy Islam.

Honestly, they don't really need fake "scholars" as their source is Western "progressivism".

I think of Surah Al Kahf and how those youth went to the cave. I think we will have to retreat from the flood of degeneracy.

I think when the protests in Syria first started- that was a mistake and they should not have done that. I think it would have been better to simply endure. I think things were made worse.

But now I think it is good for the people to fight Assad. But I haven't kept up much with Syria. I'm not sure how the situation is at present.
