"Progressive Islam" :lolbron:
how are you gonna progress a religion that has been handed down perfectly? Wlhi I hate these types of people who really wanna please others. Who cares if they think Islam is wrong for hating gays, that's not our problem. Just 40 years ago they thought gays were bad too. The world flips and flops and what's right and what's wrong, the quran doesnt.

don't post quotes from people who say it's haraam???

how many exactly are out there that don't say it's haraam???????

I think even the Mufti Menk, Yasir Qadhi types say it's haraam........ who exactly is saying it isn't?????

I don't listen to either of them

as I pictured it

you have

Sheikh Fawzan Sheikh Uthaymeen Sheikh Ibn Baz

and those types

and those types I think are the most reliable

then you have Mufti Menk, Yasir Qadhi, Nouman Ali Khan and those types

and those types I think do tend to be a little more liberal than the first names I mentioned..... but even then, I think they usually don't go super extreme when it comes to being liberal (except Yasir Qadh, who I think goes way off the deep end)

but I mean.... even Yasir Qadhi.... even with him, I assume he'd say it's haraam.....

so I am wondering if there is a whole other sublevel of "scholars" that I don't even know about......

ones compared to whom Yasir Qadhi is far-right... fake "scholars" giving fataawa with blue hair and saying it's halal to go to strip clubs......

I forgot that Abu Layth exists

Progressive Islam is an oxymoron, either follow the deen down to the letter or f*ck off. No more compromise, we need to reject this dangerous borderline kuffar narrative they're actively pushing. Reddit's such a cesspit wallahi.

I don't understand in what way there could possibly be a "Progressive Islam" that is in line with Quran and Sunnah..... I don't see what there could be in common between Islam and "progressivism"

what do u think about madkhalis?

Lol you guys have no idea. They introduce these ideas into the minds of muslims. Before you know it, this will be majority opinion.

This is why ill ban the internet from my kids and move to a conservative town in saudi arabia.

It's mainly cowards that too scared of being ridiculed by cadaans that try and dilute Islam to make it more palatable for kuffars. Wallahi I'd rather someone leave the deen, there's no compulsion in religion, but what I can't stand is this subversive under-handed bullshit they're trying to pull.
NO, there's no place in Islam for f-ggots or other degenerate behavior, f*ck off.

As I understand it, the term "madkhali" is something that gets used if you don't agree with rebelling against the Muslim ruler.

The way I understand it is this- we have to obey the Muslim ruler UNLESS he openly commits apostasy.

Furthermore, I think it needs to be very clear and blatantly obvious that he's become an apostate and I don't believe we should rush to make takfir on the Muslim ruler. I think we should be slow to make takfir on the Muslim ruler. I would rather err on the side of caution when it comes to takfir.

Has the Saudi government become more liberal?

I tjhink it may be so but..... I think Saudi Arabia has had material wealth come its way.

As I understand it...... if you look at Somalia before the fall of Siad Barre.... it wasn't AS religious.

When people experience hardship, they tend to become more religious. When they experience ease, they tend to become less religious.

I do think there is a trend of liberalism that is influencing Saudi society but I don't believe in making takfir on the Saudi government.

In my experience, there are people who make takfir against the Saudi government (and basically all the Muslim governments) and call for revolution in Muslim countries and they call you a "madkhali" if you don't acccept their view.
