I really don't see the need to have something in your system in order to feel relaxed. People need to learn how to be themselves without taking anything, whether it is cigarettes, shisha, weed or khad. Don't let anyone tell you it's harmless.

If them smoking triggers you that much then I suggest you find a new clean friend that drinks herbal tea. Instead. I already said is bad for health. But hookah is a cultural norm in most Muslim countries (is the equivalent of beer culture in Christian countries). Is bad but it does not intoxicate you neurologically like other drugs or alcohol which is obviously prohibited in Islam.
