A wonderful day for all liberal-minded people across the world. This is great news for me personally as my career will be in Silicon Valley 2 years from now and am eventually planning to immigrate to America.

Indeed it will be beneficial, but some of his policies may be problamatic. 60% tax for anybody over 400k, it will kinda cause problems in the Silicon Valley.

I think the Squad will be the death of tje Democratic party. They're just too extreme left. A centrist democraty will win the moderate republicans, specially in the swing states. However, the leftist democrats will pose a danger to every democratic candidate during the primaries. They're powerful within the dems but are not a draw nationwide. They're the tea party version of the democrats. Additionally, they are not capable to compromise, look how the extreme leftist, Sanders and co betrayed Hilary and watched her burn from the sidelines.
You need that extreme left to keep the democratic party grounded on the progressive side of policies, otherwise, you will end up with leadership who will be happy to settle for less at the expense of their loyal voters like African Americans etc.
These women advocate for:
- 15 dollar minimum wage
- Public option for healthcare and access for all Americans
- Police reform so violence perpetrated by them in the name of law enforcement stops
- Science to take a lead role in informing environmental decisions
- Fair pay and gender equality
Just to name few of their stated agenda. These issues are not extreme.
They want free healthcare, which is unrealistic and near socialist. Look at NHS and the years of wait list to see how ineffective free healthcare is. They want free college as well. They're extreme left
There is no such thing as free health care, plus the quality of the health care is also lower, which is why canadians are actually coming in to the US for healthcare, crazy right
To fix our healthcare we need to privatize the f*ck out of it, they'll then compete for lower prices
