Jaale Siyaad is most definitely not his mentor but perhaps his idol, an unrequited admiration/obsession(?) for a figure who would most likely look down on him. What HSM lacks is the widespread acceptance or support the Kacaan had in the early years, this article is dated 1976 when MSB was at the height of his power. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is arguably at his lowest point and this is a last ditch desperate, undignified, last resort which most likely fail.


No one in modern Somali politics can be pointed out as supposedly having a mentor in Jaale Siyaad, none of them come close to the level of power he wielded or political sucess, the only thing you accomplish by comparing the two is by making HSM a supposed boogeyman we should all fear. The same way many of you fear MSB.


HSM is no MSB, he is no more likely to seize power in this day and age than his counterparts across the world, like former South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol.
