Did you know that nobody got stoned the first thousand years after the prophet's death? It is used as a deterrent and is a complicated process that can nearly be impossible to reach, becuase rhe requirements are hard to fit. This notion that people that steal gets their hands chopped off, and people that does adultery gets stoned to death is a grossly misinterpretation on the real usage of the law.

I mean yes, if the girl is a social genius and maybe suffers from a rare mental disease that make her think like an adult or something. But what is the odds of that? And even in that nearly impossible scenario you stumble on a new problem. In a normal romantic setting there lies a constant sexual undertone, so if you proclaim that you love a child romantically, then you are somewhat of a pedophile.

Maybe in a situation where you mary a 9 year old. And you restrain your urges, but cultivate a form of social bond until the girl becomes an adult, would make a better argument. If it is halal then, ok. I mean, in a perfect world where everybody got good intentions then you would make it legal, but in this reality that assumption should not be made because the majority are corrupt.

Let's make an example. Let's say it is halal to own weapons for the purpose of protecting oneself. But in reality people are using these weapons for ill inventions and the death rates are staggering. Is it not logical to ban the practise of owning weapons so people can be more safe?

How it ought to be and how it really is, are two different things. And we should not make laws based on how things ought to be and ignore reality.

Actually I'm all for that .what I intended to get at was the thought of marring a 9 years old no matter the circumstances makes most of us disgusted. Should that be the case even though the prophet married aishaa at that age .
