Either Somaliland as a whole becomes an officially recognised country or Somaliland as a whole reunites with Somaliland. Nobody will ever be allowed to divide Somaliland along clan lines, the majority (50%+1) of only Somalilanders will decide the fate of SL

Somalia before 20 years didn't have Governments beside PL iyo SL. You talking about country just recovered from Civil war recently. It will take time to heal.

let's assume SL is brought back. what then? wouldn't we need a whole new constitution since the current one is clearly built on a powersharing agreement between hawiye and darood ONLY? with everyone else being their subordinates?

I think it would be a great deal.
Let's keep it real, most Dhulbahante dislike somaliland and those who support it aren't really strong separatist.
Instead of Gobols each district should vote and decide if they want to stay with Somaliland or Somalia. The majority of Somaliland would overwhelmingly vote for independence while las anod, most sool districts, Buhoodle and some sanaag districts will probably vote to stay with somalia.
Somaliland would gain immediate recognition and would probably benefit not having a population that doesn't like them.

On the other hand Somaliland and Somalia were always separated from one another except for 31 years - around seven decades before 1960 and now 30 years after 18th May 1991. Neither Somalia nor Somaliland existed before the Europeans began their Scramble for Africa in the late 19th century. Just accept both our countries are colonial products with the border drawn by cadaan

A referendum district by district should be held, if Somaliland refuses then Somalia will never recognize somaliland and will always be opposed. The status quo will remain for ever.

SL share already is been used by Isaaq in FGS. So SL if join Somalia or not Isaaqs already they have their seats and share.

Actually all the clan elders agreed to that including the dhulos grand garaad who chaired the conference but those dhulos left SL when the post of VP was given to samroon and not them cuz they thought they would be the only ones who would share power with isaaqs.

Yeah somalia gives citizenship to all somalis outside of Somalia, which backs his original point that somalia is based on pan somalism. Somaliland gives citizenship to issaqs from Ethiopia and issaqs only, implying it’s built on pan issaqism. You kinda well......didn’t make a point there
