No doubt the majority of Somalians are pro-Ethiopia and are big fans of Abiy Ahmed. I think I speak for all Somalians when i say, that they would like to see Somalia and Ethiopia unify as one country in the near future
ive started seeing this sentiment too. people seem to be getting swept up in this whole "pan-horner" stuff that came out of ethiopia, eritrea and somalias increasing friendship.
In the past, unfortunately, our neighbors took advantage of our instability and profited from it. Somalia today is getting stronger and wiser as each day passes. We should take a different approach and leave the cold war era tactics in the past. We should always be pro peace, nation building and never meddle directly in their affairs. Africa must turn the page and find modern solutions to our never endings conflicts.![]()
Sounds like Stockholm Syndrome to me![]()
I think they like the Strong Man mentality in Somalia. Whether Italians, Siad Barre, AMISOM, Farmaajo or an Ethiopian ruler. Ethiopia likes to rule over people and dominate them and it looks like Somalians like to be ruled over with an Iron fist.
Somalis are pretty hard to be ruled over. We were nomads made of clans that always fought and competed for land. Prior to colonization, majority of us were never ruled by a foreign entity.
Speak for yourself. We had a rule of law in some parts of what's Somalia today. Like Warsangeli Sultanate and Majeerteenia dating back to 1640.

No friendships, just interest. There are no friends or pro in politics, just permanent interest and alliance based on that.
