Is Somalia a Salafi country?

What is with this childish arguement about salafis or whatever the big bad is? The Sufi taliban are Ashari. Does that mean that you will learn to read a book about theology instead of arguing on a dying forum?

Ashari but i studied all three.
I won't give a run down because I don't wanna get bogged down in these discussions where randoms who don't know what there talking about can jump in and it's complicated and long and unnecessary to discuss. Talking about aqidah isn't my cup of tea and it's delicate so no room to miss explain things.

Most Sunnis worldwide are Ashari, I'd be careful with saying that. In fact, you could be one yourself.

Most sunnis have no idea about aqeedah issues and just follow the famous hadith of jibreel a.s. Scholars used to be majority ashari but I suspect the number is much closer to 50-50 nowadays

why are you associating atharis with “salafism” (a nonsense islamophobic bugword, all Muslims are salafis) or saudis?

Somalis have been athari before the first saudi fried a lizard for breakfast. Go to any sufi in Somalia and ask him where allah is, or of his attributes. Learn more about your country and religion before you engage in arguments.

Ashari isn’t an aqeedah, that’s a whole different thing. Athari isn’t equal to “salafi” despite how they would like that

Buzzword? They literally made it themselves and refer to themselves as such. We are all followers of the Salaf but don’t act obtuse. People who refer to themselves as Salafis follow the Salafiyah movement.
