Here arab fiqh telling us Malassay would follow somalis
If somalis leave majority of Malassay would leave
What does that mean? Majority of them were somalis correct!
View attachment 289435
Also majority of the army were somalis
Here's an "Academical" source from OXFORD

Somalis were not the majority in the malasaay or Adal. Somalis didn't even constitute half of the fighting force. "The jihadic wars of the
sixteenth century are presented as the work of the fanatic nomads. It is true that the nomads played an important part in the jihad between
1529-1531*. Even then, they did not constitute half of the fighting material. After that their role in the war progressively declined. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

On the other hand, the farmers of Harar were engaged in the jihadic wars between 1529 and 1577 such an extent that they were exhausted, devasated and forced to abandon their means of livelihood. Most Somali nomads didn't even want to join the Jihad against abyssinia. Imam Ahmed spent a large amount of his time fighting Somali Nomads." Somalis only spent two years fighting and got exhausted. The Oxford journal you showed me was refuted by many prominent intellectual scholars. It was an opinion rather than an established fact.

Once again you decontextualized the Malassay following Somalis. OMG. It has nothing to do with Somalis being the majority. Did you even read the full context.

Read THE OROMO OF ETHIOPIA, 1500-1850 : WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE GIBE REGION by Mohammed Hassen. He goes into great detail about the Muslim and Christian struggle in Ethiopia. Most of his sources are actually from Futush-al-Habesh. It's really informative.

He cites Futush al Habesh in most of his sources. You can see the sources in the bottom of every paragraph. He even cities many great scholars and geographers such as Masudi and Umari.
The title itself is enough of evidence
The nga main objective wasn't even who wuz adal and who wasn't
You're making his side commentaries look like Great sources smh

It was a meeting between somalis
Read the text first lol

Majority of Malassay were somalis bro dang just admit it
Somali nomads did play a role in the jihad against abyssinia. No one denies that. But to say they were the majority fighting force for Imam Ahmed is a blatant disregard for historical accuracy. Okay, for the sake of argument, Malasay are Somali. What does Malasay mean in af Somali? Why were Malasay and Somalis separated and described differently in Futush-al-Habesh? Why did Imam Ahmed have to send spies to observe his own people? Imam Ahmed trusted Malasay. That's because Somali Nomads were very treacherous. Malasay following Somalis doesn't prove shitπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

He doesn't give his own opinions. Everything he has compiled is from Futush-al-Habesh, intellectual scholars and archeological evidence. So futush al Habesh is not enough evidence. Statements from scholars such as Al Umari and masadui is not enough evidence? Come bro you could do better than that.
