I never heard or seen any mereexan living in harar region. There are small number of other Somali clans & I mean very tiny like ten families that may reside within Karanle or other Hawiye. I can’t rule out one family who maybe sheegato. Otherwise there are no marexaan in harar region or baabile. For each 1 non Hawiye in the area between Baabili and Harar you have 1000 Karanle (including subs of Murusade) and 2000 total Hawiye in general (not including Oromo of course) That area is sacred to us and we do pilgrim visits there from time to time. Hawiye himself is literally buried there at Qundhura. Hobat is where the old hawiye used to crown their garaads. Marexaan didn't exist in the immediate proximity of Harar. The Mareexaan used to come to Harar for wars just like other tribes which means they never inhabited there as a tribe but few individuals might have lived there as Harar served as a centre for all Muslims. Marexaan homeland was couple of days (on horseback ) away. Marexaan chief at one point was heading towards Harar and when he was halfway, he heard the Imam was preparing to go to Habasha and Hirabu returned.
Ethiopian census of 1994 says baabile is karanle town. 2.Dhandhame is Karanle town. 3 Kora is Karanle town 4 cobosh is Karanle 5. qarsaandule Karanle town 5. Both of the two imeys are Karanle towns.
As for Walashma some recorded them to be Xeebjir Sheekhal and others say they were the progeny of Sheikh Kawnein who was Ashraaf. The clans you are mentioning are alien to the region.

I don't know why you are shocked that MX had two homelands 500 years ago. Today in 2023 MX have 4 homelands that are separated from each other by significant distance with other clans living in between us. They are the following.
1. Dheka suuf bordering Negeyle
2. Faafan, Baabile, Harar
3. Galgaduud, Mudug, Doolo, Qoraxeey
4. Jubaland
500 years ago MX would have been in Nugaal valley, do you know Nugaal valley is about 1000 km from Harar ? majority of Hiraabus army were not on horse back, on foot you can travel about 30 km before you are totally spent, that means the travel time would be about a month, not a couple days.
So Hiraabu's army was based in a MX country outside of Nugaal Valley 500 years ago, its possible this MX country is what Ciise refer to as Marehan country to this day, its land bordering Ciise and Gedabursi clans.
What MX were doing there so many years ago lends us to believe they probably came early on before establishment of Adal, we are talking Walashama dynasty era.
Also Hiraabu descendants are Rer Garad, they make up the majority of the MX that live in Baabile, Harar, Faafan area.
MX kingship predates Hiraabu, him and his decendant Rer Garad are leaders of Rer Ciis who have been leaders of MX for centuries only recently replaced by Rer Ugaas. But before Rer Garad MX were lead by Boqors and the crown was enherited by Rer Cusman Mohamed they are among the earliest Boqors MX had and possibly even Darood.
I mentioned Makahil, Leelkase and Warsangili because they also had early boqors.
Karanle definitely have history in Adal but your illogical and irrational attachment to Adal makes no sense you are Sabti Murursade who DNA proves are far removed from Foorculus and other Murursade forget about Karanle, we know the Karanle talked about in the manuscripts are the ones living in Babile they are not Murursade. While all the Ugas, Garads, Boqors I am talking about are all MX, waliba all of them are Radamiir. They are my ancestors.
