Imagine being descendants of the first farmers

Imagine Somalis being the descendants of the first humans to invent farming and agriculture. Now imagine that we are a mostly nomadic people who despise farming and suffer from annual droughts and famine.

:mindblown:

This is the same information that I posted in the thread "The Origins of Our People".

“Africa is a total melting pot. We know that the last 3,000 years saw a complete scrambling of population genetics in Africa. So being able to get a snapshot from before these migration events occurred is a big step,” said Marcos Gallego Llorente, first author of the study, also from Cambridge’s Zoology Department.

The ancient Mota genome allows researchers to jump to before another major African migration: the Bantu expansion, when speakers of an early Bantu language flowed out of West Africa and into central and southern areas around 3,000 years ago. Manica says the Bantu expansion may well have helped carry the Eurasian genomes across eastern Africa.

The researchers also identified genetic adaptations for living at altitude, and a lack of genes for lactose tolerance – all genetic traits shared by the current populations of the Ethiopian highlands. In fact, the researchers found that modern inhabitants of the area highlands are direct descendants of the Mota man."

Mota man is linked to the Negroid Ari and the Khoisan Sandawe. Hatshepsut's dates are variously given as 1491-1479, 1479-1458, and 1486-1468 BC, which would be about five hundred years BEFORE the migration from the Levant. We know that her expedition saw no camels, but that five hundred years later camels were delivering frankincense from southern Arabia to the Nile delta, which would be about the same time as this migration. There was a LOT of movement at about that time, with camels also showing up in Palestine.

DNA is telling the tale.

'Haplogroup E1b1b may well have been associated with the earliest development of Neolithic lifestyle and the advent of agriculture, which is so far believed to have arisen in the Fertile Crescent, but could have developed earlier in parts of Northeast Africa now covered by the Sahara desert. Agriculture spread from the Near East to Europe, at first mostly ovicaprid and cattle herders. E1b1b men (accompanied by G2a, J and T men) appear to have been associated at least with the diffusion of Neolithic painted pottery from the Levant to the Balkans (Thessalian Neolithic), and with the Cardium Pottery culture (5000-1500 BCE) in the Western Mediterranean. The only concrete evidence for this at the moment is the presence of the E-V13 subclade, commonest in the southern Balkans today, at a 7000-year old Neolithic site in north-east Spain, which was tested by Lacan et al (2011). The African origin of some Neolithic cattle was confirmed by Decker et al (2013), who reported that Iberian and Italian cattle possess introgression from African taurine.

Judging from modern frequencies, E1b1b would have been a major Near Eastern haplogroup linked to the propagation of agriculture in Europe. It is the only Near Eastern haplogroup consistently found throughout Europe, even in Norway,"

Note that the "OTHER" possible origin of agriculture is in the Sahara. (!!!!!!!!), which is also the probable origin of the Cushitic peoples.

The Sahara can't be the place where agriculture began because when the Egyptians migrated from that region, they were still in the hunter-gatherer stage. The paintings in Laas Geel may or may not indicate a Khoisan people in the Somali peninsula. Nevertheless, these people would still be the ancestors of the Modern Somalis.

Try reading some of the articles. Among other things, cattle were domesticated in the Sahara. And remember the distinction between Somali and Samaale. The Midgaan are Somali but not Samaale. Mota man is not B1b1b and the paintings and remains at Laas Gaal are far too early to have been Samaale.

Samaale is a fictional character .midgaan Are treated differently due to their lifestyle and occupation not due to DNa or actual genetics .they would probably get the same results as
Other Somalis .i know you love peddling that Madow Mumbo jumbo - Khoisan nonsense though .too bad my jamaacatu dna graduates will easily Karbasha you old fellow .
