What was her clan I’ll try to avoid such qabiil as much as possible. And then there was dhegdheer our women are just as evil as us which’s so sexy.

I’ll bless this thread with some Roman beauty:

Imagine the Romans brought the light of civilisation to our barbaric ancestors (via conquest); who knows, we could have built upon that Roman foundation & establish our own epic empire. Much like the British & Spanish Empires.
Rome was 70 million.
Somalis were like 100,000 if that.

Remember the Romans literally wiped out the celts who were the largest race in Europe. They ruled the British Isles, Spain & Portugal, France, much of the balkans and even bordered Greece and fought alexander the great.

Julius ceasar wrote a book about his 10 years in Gaul/France where he genocided and enslaved 2/3rd of Frances population. One of the largest genocides proportionally.

You may think it was just the times, but even in Rome people were disgusted by him and he wrote the book as a political propaganda to justify wiping out ancient France.

And Somalis had ancient city states during that time. We literally got rich by buying Indian goods and selling it to the Romans at a high markup. Same with the Ethiopians/Axumites who did the same thing. So much that they thought these goods originated from the horn of Africa.

The Nubians in Sudan did a great job fighting off the Romans and not bowing down like the Egyptians. Nubia defeated Rome during the reign of Augustus, one of its most powerful eras.

Thank god somalis were never conquered, we had a small situation for a couple decades due to the italians, French, British and Ethiopians ganging up on us and even then we fought bravely for decades.

That's why somalis have kept their language and culture mostly intact for ages. We rule the largest land of any ethnic group in sub saharan Africa. We could easily support a hundred million in Somaliweyn if we industrialise and build railways to transport food from agricultural areas. We have been blessed brother, don't let the last 30 years say otherwise.

We need to write books on these stories. There are currently some movements in many countries to write down their tales to preserve it as many of it has been dying due to mass urbanisation and destruction of the small community.

Somalis need a movement like this to write down all the stories like Arweelo

Am really fascinated with how germanic tribes beaten the Roman Empire. Basically the Germanic tribes were nomadic people and far less developed than the Roman but still they won against them. Very interesting

The military gap between the Germanics & Romans gradually closed.

The battle of Teutoburg Forest was the pivotal battle that secured Germanic independence east of the Rhine. Over the coming centuries, Germanic tribes would proceed to penetrate Roman territory & settle. After the fall of Roman Empire, Germanic Kingdoms would succeed.

The Roman considered the Germanic as primitive and barbaric. They openly discriminated and mass killed them but in the end the Germanic had the last laugh.

Went on a TikTok and saw Germanics claiming Rome saying they are the same race so it's valid. Even though all the Romans wrote about them as a savage foriegn race of Barbars and enslaved them.

"It's all cool cuz we yt and shiet"

:russ:

These "ayrans" need to just admit they came late into the civilisation game and just flex their germanic superpowers of the modern era such as Britain, USA, second & third riech. Instead of trying to create false links with the past.

Funny history moment was when hitler found out his germanic ancestors lived in huts whilst the romans were making massive structures. Didn’t help with his Master race theory.

Why do we call the whole world's attention to the fact that we have no past? It isn't enough that the Romans were erecting great buildings when our forefathers were still living in mud huts; now Himmler is starting to dig up these villages of mud huts and enthusing over every potsherd and stone axe he finds. All we prove by that is that we were still throwing stone hatchets and crouching around open fires when Greece and Rome had already reached the highest stage of culture. We really should do our best to keep quiet about this past. Instead Himmler makes a great fuss about it all. The present-day Romans must be having a laugh at these relegations.

They do have links. Germanics & Italics (Northern Italians carry the most Italic ancestry) both descended from the Corded-Ware culture.

The Italics split off from the Celts in Central Europe & crossed the Alps into Italy where Italic culture would take root & mixed with Pre-Indo European folks living there.

So they can claim Rome because of genetic familiarity thousands of years before Rome (700bc)?

So we are Axumites n shiet?

All Europeans are closely linked Obv. But romans saw Germanics as barbarians of the highest caliber. There's no way a Germanic can claim roman civilization as his own with a straight face when his ancestors fought and got enslaved by them for centuries. Damn near a thousand years.

The Romans were a arrogant & zealous people, but their views on Germanics were inaccurate/false propaganda.

Same way, the Greeks looked down the early Romans as Barbaric although that would change over time.

It was entirely justified.

The romans had cities with 1 million peoples and large road networks, currency and political system.

When caesar marched into Germany he walked days without seeing a single village.
Whereas even barbaric Celts in France has small scale urbanisation.
The Germans had not a single city centuries after Augustus even.

Zelia built first century AD in Northern Somalia is older than anything in Germany. You see so much of Mediterranean Europe you fail to realise how backward the rest of the continent was before roman conquest and even moving into the medieval era in some places still.

You’re missing the point. The views peddled by Roman officials against the Germanics was propaganda, since they wanted to justify their attempts at conquering Germanic territory.

There’s no issue with a Celt, Iberian or Germanic viewing the legacy of Rome as some sort of common European heritage.

Both can be true at the same time.

The roman officials wrote about the Germanics to justify war.
But the Germanics were complete barbarians.

Celt Liberian and Germanics van view Rome as a precursor to western civilization sure. But the only peoples who can claim they are the decendants of Rome are the Latins. I.e italians, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanians

Your claim about Zeila being older than anything in Germany is baseless 😂

And yes, Germanic territory was densely populated so they’d definitely had urban centres all over Germania headed by petty kings. The main thing that held back the development of Germania was the land was covered by forests which limited farming capability.
