Nah just trying to get you to drop that mindset so you don't end up chasing a unicorn that doesnt exist. Even a miskeen back home would be wise to them shenanigans.
A lot of those sons tend to have bachelors and masters degrees from good local or even abroad western Unis on top of being fluent in English and Arabic. Unless they're dameero or unwell they don't really need anyone for anything. Western passports would be a boon, yes, but these aren't fobs desperately searching for salvation but more like a dude who admits he'd probably be more comfortable and, more importantly, secure if he was Canadian or British. 8-10K a month as a starting to midrange salary for a bachelor in the UAE is very livable, abaayo. And frankly very marriage worthy if the woman also has a similar income and works which most reer Khaleej girls do. You can rent out a comfy studio or 1 bedroom in relatively nice neighborhoods and lease out a decent enough car while having money to spare on utilities, food, leisure and savings, no problem. And in a few years you can definitely be sitting on 15K or more like many of my bachelors degree batchmates:

Personality and compatibility should be your dealbreaker tho. Drop him if his character ain't it. His money will not wake up at 2AM to change diapers for your newborn.

My mom recently found this Arab-Somali man for me. He’s only seen a picture of me but he fancies me. Apparently it was my grandpa who caused this as he apparently knows his father.
I of course said no but turns out he’s from a wealthy family. In Saudi Arabia. Not like extremely wealthy but his fathers income is 7 figures.
I absolutely have zero interest in this man. But I have interest in his pockets.
Wallahi I thought my mom was exaggerating because why would somali saudi person go for a somali person when I live in the west?
This sounds sketchy to me… Like there’s a catch. Is he an adulterer or something? Does he need a proud Darod gyal like me to retain somali traditions? My mom said something about them spending a considerable amount of time back home when they were younger. Maybe he’s retained his somalinino and wants a somali wife. But I’m very western, so that can’t be it.
I seriously question your moral compass. You live in America and can earn a decent money if you want to work hard, but wants to contemplate on marrying someone solely because of their money not because you genuinely want to share a life with him. Life in this dunyaa is very short, lady. Think about hereafter. You ain't in a situation where you're desperate to marry him, so don't plan to take advantage of someone who has done no harm to you.
Besides, your parents want the best for you. They're doing what a responsible parent aught to do. Don't disappoint them by agreeing to a marriage that you honestly don't want to get into. Be upfront with them and with the potential husband that you aren't comfortable getting into.

I and no other men on this site have no right saying don't marry rich, but make sure you like the other things too incase something happens.
If he lost his money could you love him? Make sure this is the case so that it doesn't go bad if a big test comes.
Other than that go for it, a big paycheck to women is like a big chest size to guys, a rarity that nearly overrides every other factor in marriage.
