To each their own
being blunt and disrespectful isn't even really a bad thing,
id rather that than being miskeen:siilaanyolaugh:
infact in anglo Saxon times nice was the worst diss you could give a man:mjlol:

I get your point but kindness is a virtue of the prophet (pbuh) and being blunt/disrespectful is not really a kind thing to do

Planet earth.....somalis are known for their good nature and calmness. Aussies are known for their drunken behavior. I never met a person who has a nice thing to say about Aussies

@East side

If Aussies are that bad and Somalis are that great, how come there are tens of thousands of Somalis who sought asylum in Australia and not a single Aussie sought asylum there? Enlighten me.

All you’ve described above is the characteristics of the majority of Somali people, if that’s the case, then most Somalis are depressed.

He has Seasonal affective Disorder and needs to see a psychologist before it’s too late so he can receive light therapy.

It gets worse every winter until it finally stops him. I bet he is living in a cold dark climate too like Minnesota.

I'm not trying to frighten you, but those sudden symptoms sounds like someone give you the eye or magic. I would take a ruqya bath for several days and see if that helps. And read surah baqarah back to back maybe like complete it 2 times in the week.
I’ll do so, and thanks for the information walal. It means a lot :nvjpqts:

This Ruqyah superstition (maybe) can help you only as a placebo, otherwise it would’ve helped 3/4 of Somalis with mental illnesses murdering one another for 3 decades. This was the same kind of advice given to a Somali mother whose son had a mental illness. She was told to take him to Nairobi and there are great Somali sheikhs in Nairobi who could help him recover with Koran readings, therefore, let them read Ruqyah and ayatul kursi on him and then marry him to a good religious girl and he will be Ok. After so many sessions of Koran readings and few months after the wedding, he butchered his pregnant wife and claimed that his child she was carrying was evil trying to destroy him. His mother sought help from the Australian embassy in Nairobi, but they informed her there are no medical records in Australia that indicates that he was ever treated with mental illness and sorry, we can’t help you. I heard her son killed himself in a disgusting Nairobi jail. Sxb, don’t listen to their Ruqyah and superstitious stuff, see a doctor and preferably a psychologist and get professional help ASAP

Don’t listen to Geeljires like @Suldaanka
But i don’t think i have anything that bad? Why do i have to see a doctor i’m not insane

Go seek some help, read also about Stoicism. I suggest you "Letters to Lucilius" by Seneca. Great book and could help you. And also read about Marcus Aurelius.
I don't believe in religious medecine, it's most of the time superstitions.
Good luck and i wish you a happy life !

I know people who have struggled with depression and anxiety, and they told me how good their life became after a few appointments with the psychologist. It's much more effective, and it's better to go there as early as possible so you can start living your life as you want. Isolation is not a good thing.

All types of people seek professional help for different reasons. I know successful white people who go to the psychologist once a week, just for personal improvement and updates.

You should pray more and stay away from potential triggers. Listen to some Bob Marley and chill out, read books, play some videogames (League, the Witcher 3). lol

Things might seem dark, but all things get better, it's a matter of when, and how proactive you are in dealing with the issues.

Visiting a psychologist is fine but it wont cure depression. Its mostly 1st World countries with the best medicine and doctors were suicide rates the highest, with no sign of it decreasing. Also listening to music will only contribute to the depression. The Qur'an is the only cure.

Surah Ar-Rad, Verse 28:
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Those who believe and whose hearts are set at rest by the remembrance of Allah; now surely by Allah's remembrance are the hearts set at rest.

@Sambuus,

Horta I would like to thank you for sharing this private moment of ur life with us and seeking help. Speaking about it is already half way through the finish line.

I believe everyone goes through depression, illness, or just a low place at some point in their lives, this is the ultimate test and how you get over this obstacle will shape the rest of you life.

Years back before my journey of positivity, I had everything I ever wanted and I thought I was truly happy but then just like that I found myself in the polar opposite completely bed ridden and no sight of improvement (dependent on my family) . I had to seek help and in the course of my treatment, I became stronger than ever both physically and mentally, my whole purpose of life changed and I am now at the best place of my life.

I listened to this DUA almost everyday to sleep and reflect

I challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone, go walking, put on a smile, join conversations even though everything inside of me wanted to shut down. I noticed after a while that things started to gradually improve, day after day I kept feeling better and my smile was not forced any more, it truly came from a happy place. :)

Please know that we are all here and rooting for u!

if need be, please do not hesitate to reach out and send me a private message.

:)

ruqyah/quran saar is not a scientific proven method for curing anything, it is more like traditional ways. when we get physically ill like sore throats, flu, abdominal pain or seriously ill like cancer, we go to specialist doctor to help us know the real diagnosis and give us the appropriate treatment we need for a cure, the same thing apply when we get mentally ill, we should go to see specialist doctor that will explain to us what's going on inside our brain and why we feel isolated and not able leaving the bed or socializing with others.

We are humans we live stressful life and sometimes we go through breakups or losing someone we love and we end up not knowing how to handle our emotions and some of us stuck in this phase of life and don't know how to process our emotions and thoughts and move on from it.

sadly many people do not take care of their mental health the same way they take care of their physical health.

Sister if what you are going through take longer time and you don't know how to handle it, please see a specialist doctor. I wish everything will go well with you.

Are you a doctor? how do you know that? generalizing something is wrong. there are many people who used antidepressants medications and it improved their lives.

Do you know any effective alternative solution to cure depression (not traditional ways)?
