Go to an international embassy and show them your Puntland passport. I’m sure they’ll recognize it and give you 5-star treatment.

Oh wait… Puntland is not a country. It’s considered an autonomous state within Somalia.

You don’t even realize that the government in Xamar is actually doing you a favor by making travel, documentation, and identification easier.



Demented people on this site, like I’ve been saying. I don’t even think they genuinely advocate for the regions they claim to be from , they never talk about development, progress, local initiatives, or supporting those areas in any real or tangible way. They’re just consumed by political hatred and resentment.


There’s no rational thinking process behind it either. If Xamar stabilizes and progresses, it would only benefit all Somali regions as a whole.

Unfortunately the Somali republic died in the 90’s and now we have a corrupt clannist warlord state.

We're out here fighting tooth and nail not to call ourselves Ethiopian and incompetent leaders from Somalia want to strip our God given identity from us. If we aren't Somali, and the millions in the diaspora aren't Somalia, what are we? What if we joined neighboring countries and assimilated into their ethnic identities? Whether you recognize HSM or the FGS doesn’t change reality , the world recognizes only the Federal Republic of Somalia.

Those who get the national ID will be the ones who can access its benefits, travel freely, and be treated as Somali citizens internationally. Refusing it only isolates people and closes doors for them.

Why do you need a national ID? Wouldn't a state issued drivers license or similar be enough? Thats what most of the world does.
