Yeah colonialists themselves said somalis couldāve made it as far as Mozambique if they didnāt interveneWe actually went as far as central Kenya before the British intervened. We would have been in Nairobi by now if the British didnāt force back to the Tana
I think the majority of Somalis were up north though just look where their ancestors are buried the tolomoge Ogaden clan mentioned in this text are originally from godey area in K5 we where to preoccupied with fighting Abyssinia and the highlands we couldāve conquered south eastern Africa very easily if we migrated south earlierThey expanded far too late, had centuries to do it before the British landed on those shores.
After the adal war there was barely any fights with the amxaaro, the oromos there was though.I think the majority of Somalis were up north though just look where their ancestors are buried we where to preoccupied with fighting Abyssinia and the highlands we couldāve conquered south eastern Africa very easily if we migrated south earlier
North Western Somalia, South West and Galbeed were good areas for keeping large numbers of camels and cattle. It also a good route to the coast where they could trade with the foreigners as they had done for thousands years.I think the majority of Somalis were up north though just look where their ancestors are buried the tolomoge Ogaden clan mentioned in this text are originally from godey area in K5 we where to preoccupied with fighting Abyssinia and the highlands we couldāve conquered south eastern Africa very easily if we migrated south earlier

Interms land expansion yes but the two wars had two objective imoGaalo Madow wars > Futuh al Habesh
Gaalo Madow wars > Futuh al Habesh
I superimposed the Ogaden-Marehan lands in Jubaland and Kenya onto the Somali region of Ethiopia. The difference in land area is much smaller than I had imagined. The Juba Tana Darod have about 70% of the territory of the Ethiopia Darod. Their land is however much better watered and less densely populated.
