Isaaq will lose their majority in Northern Somalia by 2033. Secession is probably not possible after that point. If you use the South Sudan secession model, an adult voter threshold above 60%, Somaliland secession becomes improbable by the end of this decade, around 2028.

So it depends on what model of secession referendum you are talking about:

Eritrean model 1993 (simple majority >50%): Somaliland has about 12 years

South Sudan model 2011 (60% adult turnout): Somaliland has about 7 years.
