I've been to Hargeisa and Somaliland. Most women do not have FGM according to the health agencies but it's still a problem that Somaliland government is trying to tackle and educate the wider population. Somalia is also doing the same thing so that FGM source you have shown is a complete lie.
FGM is a part of Somali culture , i never said that it was only part of Somali culture. Secondly, all i was doing was drawing parallels to a part of our culture which is wrong and should be abandoned as i was told that if i didn't like our culture i should just leave it.

It isn't a lie unfortunately , the Somalilland government only banned it recently. The Somali government hasn't even put a ban on it yet let alone implementing a law when you only control the capital would be impossible.

You seem unable to respond to my previous example about the problems with following a paternal lineage, so i'll repeat it again. Suppose a Somali man married a west African girl and had a son who also married a west African girl who also had a son and so on and so forth for 5 generations.
At this point the children would only be 3% Somali and 97% west African.
According to you and paternal lineage, they would still be Somali wouldn't they?
