We don't need to necessarily replace qabiil. We cannot erase qabiil, it is part of our history/lineage. However, what we can do is create a society where meritocracy is the way forward. Anyone can get a good job, no matter where they come from, as long as they have the necessary skills to do well in that job.

But in a clan based society if person A has all the skills needed for a job and person B is a newbie but is from the employer's clan then person B will win. Meritocracy is great but it doesn't work when a whole society is brainwashed with clan ideology.
