A lot of places look way greener then they are on google maps. maybe google maps put images of the dry season. Check out gabiley and borama then compare to google maps

Google image is not that up to date in SL. The new football pitch in Haji Dahir Stadium which was done last year is not visible yet.

@Duke of Bohol have you managed to have a play around with it. you can actually see the progress of the ceerigaabo-burco road it finishes in some tuulo near ceel afweyn. But can't find the badhan bosaso road

It is the white line snaking south west of Ceeldoofaar, it is an unpaved gravel road so it may not show.

Garissa and Kismayo are very interesting.

If Garissa is a Somali city how come when the al shabaab university attack happened most the students looked like they were bantu kenyans like kikuyus etc.

Most people from Garissa who can afford to send their kids to college send them to colleges upcountry. Garissa University College is a very low ranked school, it mostly takes very poor students from Rift Valley and Nyanza.

Garissa is above average in terms of per capita income in Kenya.
