Somalia did have a huge army but it was a shell of its former self after fighting the Soviets.
Probably a combination of AMISOM selling ammunition, soldiers selling weapons, raiding bases and importing it through Kenya and Ethiopia.
Its why Mogadishu will keeping getting bomb until the borders are maned, AMISOM is kicked out and SNA is reformed.

The international black market for arms is huge. If you have the money then there are plenty sellers who don't care what the arms are used for. Al-Shabaab have master the art of tax collection and they have more then enough funds to buy the arms.

No. Just look at this forum, the malice is too much. It would be a disaster to allow them to destroy the SNA from the inside.

We dont need a lot of soldiers. Just enough to be able to attack on land and from the air. Once we have fighterjets, al-shabaab and all regions will lay down arms.
