I get embarrassed seeing Somali men in that saudi black and gold khamis, the moroccan baatis and other arab attire during important events .
This eid make an effort, it’s actually embarrassing seeing you men dress so khaleeji like, look at pictures from the past and catch a vibe.
I get a little heated when i see west and central africans look good.
Instead of buying moroccan baatis, start someone research and start a somali attire business. It’s getting ridiculous
TWITTER discourse : a langaab kurdish man shared a pic of a somali man dressed like his people, ceebta
And don’t try to make add religion to this convo. i’m discussing clothes. you’re not getting hasnat for wearing these clothes.

Yeah this guy is an idiot. Why would women make clothes, for men? Historically, and even now, most menswear is designed by men, for men.

We collectively don't care about traditional clothes. Even this boqors everyone is posting are either wearing Arab clothes or 2 sheets.Yeah this guy is an idiot.

We dont care about somali history as a whole tbh. Historic sites are in rubble. We collectively don't care about traditional clothes. Even this boqors everyone is posting is wearing Arab clothes.
The only real traditional Somali men clothing is 2 sheets. If you want to have something for us to wear then make it, if not? Stop complaining.![]()
