Famine/drought: Is this a good time for a visit to the homeland?

One of my friends is considering visiting Somalia.
She hasn't been there since she was born.
But all she keeps hearing from her relatives back home is that 'this is not a good time visit'
because of the famine/drought which has plagued the land.
Here is a vid capturing the suffering back home right now:
Going back to visit now is bound to be a traumatic event, at least that's the pictures her relatives are painting. And she doesn't have a lot of money to donate or way to help people who are dying. But she is determined to go nevertheless.

What do you think she should do?

She won't be visiting rural communities with no infrastructure.

Sad thing is that a dead camel is still worth more than a living rural Somali.

She should visit the country hell or high water.

Respect of the reply.

Her family is living out in villages and that's where they said it's looking super miserable.

But visiting the country is a necessity. The suffering will never end, so it's now or never.

She should go regardless.

Everyone has a lot of family in the rural areas. But I think most people are staying in the cities.
