In theory it wouldn't cost much to build a railroad from Dire Dawa to the border , the hard part would be getting funding for the Somaliland side. Ethiopia is in the process of taking out loans on behalf of Somaliland for the highways along the laters side of the corridor.Kulaha Ethiopia is building a railway. They already have one, and it's called the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway.

As if Ethiopia will build this for an unrecognized region. Just hilarious. It costed $4.5 billion, which is like 10 times the total investment for Berbera port.
