I knew this day will come where Ethiopian residents of Somaliland region demand their rights as Somaliand citizens, the Ethiopians have been mass displacing to SL for decades due to SL government close relations with Ethiopia.

What is real shocking is the shameless Ethiopian lovers in the breakway triangles region's administration giving these inavaders the balls to claim rights when Ethnic Somalis were recently mass deported and robbed by tribal enclave militia of SNM.

Kulahaa, we lived in Somaliland for 200 years, are we witnessing the Kilinka Lixaad of Ethiopia Somaliland region slowly joining Ethiopia since the recognition became a pipedream that is not coming?

Tbh there's nothiy wrong with naturalizing foreign citizens. Most of sspot has another citizenship besides the somali one. Back in the days before the war we used to naturalize indians and yemeni immigrants

That's how you lose your country.

The Western mindset on ease of getting citizenship is civilizationally suicidal.

Countries that will be culturally recognizable in a century are the ones blocking this (Japan, China etc.). The ones who don't won't be recognizable in a century.

They have the Rights to demand basic human rights like an education for their children, health , water , food and a space to live. Somaliland respects human rights.
We do host More Somalian refugees than any other country in the world. We just kicked out your people only after they caused security problems in certain areas of our country. We suspect that your weak government is trying to change the demographics of sool and sanaag by flooding thousands of refugees in those regions.

Read the annual report

DP WORLD share on Berbera has always been 65% since the 2017 report.
The share for Ethiopia 19% was signed by the previous Ethiopian regime which was later sidelined when Abiy Ahmed government came into power and who has not consolidated his countries share of the port.

Now CDC came into play and bought shares off DP WORLD in exchange for further investment of the port which is in conjunction with other DP WORLD ports in Senegal and Egypt.

Djbouti is really f*cked long term.

Esp when Ethiopia will have access to Assawa and Massawa in Eritrea soon once the conflict is over.

All they need is a railway from berbera to Addis and then djbouti may as well cease to exist.

Both djibouti and berbera will always remain the main suppliers of ethiopia. Eritrea is involved with the ethiopian civil war against the tigray. The fact they hate the tigrays is clear indication that there won't be any trade between ethiopia and eritrea through tigray region.

Wars don’t last an eternity. The conflict in Tigray will be over eventually, very likely even before the Berbera corridor project is even completed.

the idea that Tigray wouldn’t allow transport of goods via Eritrea is wishful thinking. No country would turn down development and $$, even with their enemies.

I.e Ukraine allows gas from Russia through their territory to Europe, same as Egypt/Israel, politics rarely interferes with commerce if the $$ is right.

Besides I said when the conflict is over. Most likely Tigray won’t even be an independent country once the conflict is over so the notion a regional state would/could object is farfetched.

The ethiopian civil war will last for decades. Even if it's solved politically the ethnic conflict Will continue. Their situation is even worse than the somali civil war.
