Ethiopian Airlines to Order Airbus A220 Planes For $1.6 billion

Loool so all the people killed in June (4 months ago) is irrelevant? You still don’t seem to get the point, Ethiopia has been more violent than Somalia. Calm down and work on your comprehension issues. Don’t get mad at me I didn’t cause what’s happening there.

Focus your energy on the most displaced people in the world and ethnic clashes killing people every week.

No honey I was worried you took time out day search for tweet to 4 months ago to make a point. (Unemotionally of course:dabcasar:)

To deny the fact that Ethiopia is literally taped toghether is just delusional.
There was even a coup attempted in one of their ethnic regions. Looool you can say that the somali federal states are more stable with the exception of a few. We ain't trying to assassinate each other on national level always on clan level.

The last time the tribes went full out was a while ago

Ethiopia is no more taped together then other countries and we have been through much worse then this as a country....we will be alright.

No the horn geopolitics has shifted again. Ethiopia used to be the go to nation in the horn. However since Somalia is rising and the old Ethiopian regime is gone. Pm Abiy tries to keep the nation together but the ethnic federal states clash between each other. The alliances made is not favorable for all federal states, this causes tensions. Believe it or not in the highest offices of Ethiopia there is concern.

Your european friends try so hard to keep habesh relevant in eastafrica:ftw9nwa:

the habesh have fallen, the country is lead by an oromo, my shoulder shaking friend. Soon after abiy ahmed seized the throne, the president of Ogadenia changed his region's flag to incorporate the flag of somalia

Theres no Ethiopia without habeshas lol we control everything in Ethiopia.
Ethiopians special force is made up of 90% habesha same goes for its intelligence agency. No matter which government comes there will only be three ethnic (amhara oromo and tigre) that will dominate Ethiopia politically and economically.

So what, if Ethiopia is buying 20 of these;

Somalia has millions of these vehicles and all were designed and manufactured by Somali people with Somali technology and zero carbon emissions.

there is no airline that manufactures its own plane however the difference between somalia and Ethiopia in this industry is there's is state owned and comes out of the government budget, ours is and has always been in the private sector which is why you see many competing companies like somali/jubba/daallo, which thus takes an money losing industry(airlines are the quickest way to become a millionaire if once a billionaire) off the backs of our government and people and brings better prices due to competition, kind of like how the US has so many different private airlines versus say turkey and there one state owned airline

Speaking of governments, how about when we even can't control our airspace and any foreign plane can fly from anywhere in the world and land wherever they want in Somalia. Take for example, yesterday, a plane carrying former Somali warlords who were attending Ahmed Madoobe's inauguration flew from Nairobi and landed in Kismayo without the approval or permission from the Federal government and Somalia's Civil Aviation Authority. This will never happen in Ethiopia.

Somalia writes to ICAO over ‘airspace breach’ by Kenya.

Somalia has filed a complaint with the International Civil Aviation Organisation over what it termed as violation of airspace by Kenya after an aircraft was cleared from Nairobi to fly directly to Kismayu instead of a stopover at Mogadishu in line with new regulations.

Officials at Somalia Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) confirmed to HOL that the airspace regulator had protested the decision by Kenya to allow the aircraft which was carrying politicians heading for Ahmed Madobe’s inauguration to fly directly to Kismayu contrary to regulations. According to regulations by the SCAA last month, airlines flying to Kismayu must stop over at Mogadishu before proceeding to the coastal town.

HOL has also learnt the aircraft, with registration number 5Y-JXJ operates under Air Operator License (AOC) from Jubba Airways.

The aircraft carrying politicians among them former South West president Sharif Sheikh Adan and former Galmudug president Abdikarin Guled landed at Kismayu Airport at about 3pm Saturday afternoon. Jubbaland president Ahmed Madobe is expected to be sworn into office this week after the event was postponed September 26 following traveling restrictions to Kismayu by the Federal Government.

Any comments prof?

Nobody goes to Ethiopia in the thousands it’s actually Ethiopians who flee to Somalia over the years, in order to get into the ME.

If your referencing occupied western Somalia then it’s our land and peaceful.

You’re the one denying reality, Somalia is 10x more peaceful than Ethiopia. I can keep posting what been going on in your country but I’m pretty sure you’re well aware.
"peaceful". Wow

Everything u said is laughable. You're posting random tweets with photoshopped images lmao.

Some truly embarrassing arguments made in this thread.

Ethiopia may as well be on a different planet to Somalia.

They have the fastest growing economy in all of Africa. Their infrastructure is not something that can be caught up by Somalia in the next 50 years, maybe even 100 years let's be real. Anyone who tells you otherwise clearly hasn't been to Ethiopia. It's true there is some ethnic conflicts and unrest in parts of the country, and it's also true many Ethiopians go neighbouring countries in the region but that's a given for the largest, most diverse population in the region.
