Ethiopia Vs Sudan Conflict

Why don't they arm farmers? Plus do they plan on holding onto the territories they captured already? If yes did they send reinforcements or something?

of course, Ethiopia been asking Sudan to withdraw for weeks but the government made it clear that there won’t be “any” type of withdrawal. Besides, Sudan until this point has not shown any type of military muscle all those camps were literally cleared of Ethiopian presence by a bunch of border patrol forces.

Sudan has been for years in the process of disarming civilians. This is to ensure that the conflicts that happened in the past in Darfur and southern Sudan do not happen again. That is why when these armed Ethiopian militias in “military” uniform attack, the unarmed Sudanese farmers don’t have weapons to retaliate. Unlike western Sudan where the janjaweed been active with heavy weaponry, eastern Sudan has been very peaceful and many would have never seen a gun.

if it were the Janjaweed in eastern Sudan, the Amhara militias wouldn’t have attacked

There was no takeover, Ethiopian military and barefoot Amhara militia is hiding from the Sudanese military hence why they resort to killing farmers in remote areas and “claiming” the territory. The Sudanese military will be building a permanent base in the region and these squabbles will soon be over. Unlike Ethiopia Sudan doesn’t need to call for neighbors help to fight their wars.
how are the sudanese people since the last coup? has their situation improved?

There's been a lot of reform, it'll take some time to see the positive affects but the government just started a cash assistance program that covers 80% of the population.

The Ethiopian militias have been chased out the area, it is strange how Ethiopia is now claiming that Sudan is ''controlling'' their territory, whilst it is clearly Sudanese.

It is not our fault that Bashir in the past was too busy protecting his regime and turned a blind eye to the borders.
Becuase they are disgusting imperialists, they hold by force nearly half of Somalia so its unsurprising they are also claiming sudanese land.
