Current Affairs End of the road for TPLF

Well apartenyly from what I’m hearing they aren’t the same people they just speak the same language. Tigrinya speakers in Tigray are mostly agew or agew mixed whereas tigrinya speakers in eritrea are mostly beja or Beja mixed
Not true. They are very similar identical especially Northern Tigray and southern Eritrea. Southern Tigray does have mix with Amhara and Agew but it’s not big enough.

the difference between them will be like the difference between 2 Somali qabils. While there is different history and identity if you took a DNA test itd come out nearly identical.

They are very similar people with different history due to Menelik letting Italy colonise Eritrea but not Tigray.

they have a complicated relationship and have been friends and beefed throughout history. Tigray and Eritrea teamed up in 1991 and were on good terms and TPLF gave Eritrea their independence.

but in 1998 there was a border war about northern Ethiopia/ southern Eritrea and its been beef ever since.
They let themselves get landlocked?

Yeah Meles Zenawi the leader of TPLF at the time was on very good terms with Isaias Afewerki the president of Eritrea. Meles Zenawi is half Eritrean himself and some people even claim they were cousins.

Meles giving Eritrea freedom so easily and not even getting a port was a controversial move and a lot of the senior TPLF members were against it, conspired against him, said he was too soft on Eritrea because he’s Eritrean etc.

The late 90’s was a mess for TPLF and they had a lot of internal issues and senior members getting killed by each other.

Eritrea was mpre powerful than TPLF in the 90s.
Majority of those that took over Addis Abbaba were EPLF.

Deputy PM of Ethiopia has flown to Uganda to ask Museveni to intervene and seek peace talks with TPLF.

Seems the cracks are starting to become visible on Abye's regime.

Big up to Tigrayans the founders of Abysinia.Real worriors.

Fact is Tigrayans could have continued to fight for years but Cash strapped Abye regime cannot stand a conventional warfare for an extra month.

Hahahahahaha Canada only has 40k soldiers damn tplf might be the superior Horners when it comes to war

TPLF are doing better than people expected. This doesn't look like it will be a quick operation that @xabashi and other Amhara supremacists thought
Almost 2/3rd of Tigray is now under the army and Amhara Liyu and the army is nearing Mekele. I said 1-2 weeks operation (max 3 weeks) and it looks like I'm correct.

TPLF and its supporters are dying to get any news that has the word negotiation in it but there is none and will never be no matter how hard you guys try. No negotiation with criminal TPLF, never, except how to surrender. Deal with it. No fake news can save TPLF from its final death.

Demeke is now the foreign minister and meeting with a foreign leader is his job but there is nothing in the meeting that Ethiopia is willing to negotiate with the TPLF mafia while the army is nearing Mekele. TPLF can fool some foreign journalists with fake news but we Ethiopians know there is absolutely zero chance for TPLF to get a negotiation with federal government.

But you have few days to fake it :ftw9nwa: before the final march to Mekele. I give you that to enjoy your fake news.

Before Abye took office TPLF took majority if the hard cash currencies both foreign and domestic and this has caused his regime to try navigate through hard times by even trying to launch new currency notes to replace old notes.

Also the USA and EU donors have not been happy with him of his way of handling opposition and some even stopped funding.
You meed to kkow that Ethiopian economy heavily depends on Foreign aid to sustain it.
The mitary budget is always catered for by the US&EU.As for China they have given lots of loans to Abye even more than what TPLF received from China.More loans from China will damage Ethiopias economy as well as its soveregnity as it might end up forfeiting some of its national assests to cover for loans that it might default in the future.

They miscalculated Abiy's will to fight this is not like the 90s with a weak government and supportive neighbors.
Exactly! Their plan was to get hold of the weaponry from northern command by attacking the army while sleeping then force the PM to negotiate but this gamble back fired big time. They are now encircled, lost 2/3 of the territory (1/3 permanently to Amahra, Badme to Eritrea). People in Tigray are reporting sever shortage of food and fuel. Unlike Tigray, the federal government can wage a war for years to come. It has everything including huge and determined man power, military hardware, fuel, food, whatever. There is nowhere TPLF can come out this alive. It is over for TPLF, surrender or die! But fools have few days to hallucinate about nonexistent negotiation.

Dont trust this Baghdad bob.

He can claim what he wants he always claimmed the war will end in 3 days and that TPLF is still there.

Also this war has phases and capturing Makelle will not end the war.

I don’t understand why some of you are choosing to support a side. Amharas and Tigrays of oppressed other Ethiopian Ethnic groups for centuries and I believe this is there karma. Sad how innocent people have to suffer but it is what it is.
