Clearly you don't know many Landers in real life then.

It is true that recognition is not the be all and end all that you konfuurians make it out to be. However, the idea of ever re-uniting with Somalia repulses the vast majority of younger Landers. That's true for young Landers in the homeland and in the qurbaha.

Edna is a great women because she is fighting for her people and country. I respect and admire her. Reer Somaliland should build a monument for her. Her Husband was also the prime minister of Somalia.

I was talking about young Lander diaspora but I also doubt any young people in SL would object to joining Somalia if it meant more opportunities.

After all, people back home have more pressing things to worry about than succession such as food.

You are right on one point though and that is what each individual desires, which is to improve their own lives and those of their families, first and foremost. So sure, in some wild, hypothetical scenario where greater opportunities are had being united with Somalia, they'd be open that. However, 1 that is a nonsense, fantasy scenario that will never transpire and 2, they'd just equally consider being united with South Africa, Israel or Russia if it lead to an improvement in their own lives.

When I was in xamar recently, there was a huge amount of isaaqs there for economic purposes. Working in hotels, hospitals, bajaaj drivers etc. Most don’t care whether they reunite or not. Once somalia becomes peaceful, less landers would want recognition

It is only konfuurians who think that Somaliland wanting independence has anything to do with the instability in Somalia. It if helps you folks sleep better at night, keep thinking that.
