When a female suggests that spinsterhood is more fulfilling then marriage, you learn a lot about the type of person you are dealing with.

These are the hall marks of the selfish, narcissistic, self-centred arch-type and people with such views lead miserable life's devoid of any blessings or meaning, they never escape depression.

But what they really tell you between the lines as do the crowd of females that prefer marriage past there prime is that they prefer the illegitimate form of relationships were just their desires are fulfilled without having to commit to anything until they hit the wall and panic sets in.

Even the English Aristocratic upto 19th century had Dowry system. The parents of the bride would negotiate with the parents of the groom. Richer Families would settle 10,000 or 20,000 or even the most richest 30,000 on their daughters

The man usually comes with an aristocratic title, or a good family name.

I don't think that's what honour killing is. But I do know an Indian girl that went back home for the summer when we like 17-18 and had a 'surprise' wedding. Yeeesh.
