I'm sure we will face some hard challenges, but we can still do it.
To plant enough trees you need to sign contract with a water company and water trucks, so you can get enough water. When you have all that you need people to work with you planting trees. First you need to teach them, how to plant trees properly, when they finish the course you can start planting.
Sometimes you need fertilizer or fertile soil, but you can get it from shabeele, juba, gedo, hiraan, bay and bakool.

We got some potential here. :ohhh:

And apparently 4% of Somalia is covered with dense wooded areas. I think the government could push that to 15% within a decade.

Yep it's going to take a lot of determination to reverse the damages done to our environment.
We’ve always had savannas that look like this in somalia
The big issue is ppl cutting down trees for charcoal, we should find another charcoal alternative and start planting more trees

You practice hunting....but dont kill animals.....:cosbyhmm:
How on earth does that work:westbrookwtf:
Practice archery, accuracy, tracking, skinning dead animals. There are plenty of things that you should do despite being a muslim and hunting is one of those traits that all men should have. Should disaster strike and the government collapses, i will be ready to feed my family and myself. Being muslim doesn't mean having to be behind in everything. All the youtube tutorials i watch are of cadaan doing these things, god forbid something happens they will easily survive due to practising these necessary life skills.

I'm tired of the negative threads, lets try to respect each other and discuss more important things like the state of our homeland and how we can improve it. I'm a hiker and practice hunting without killing animals since it's haram to kill them unless i have a good reason to, but i am disappointed to learn that the country is was heavily deforested sometime in the 1800's for charcoal trade. Is only the south of the country forested? or is there some other part of the country with a forest that i don't know about.

How do u practice hunting without killing animal? Do u throw animal dolls & throw spears at them? Or shoot at them?

Nuclear war is very possible my friend. Society enslaves ppl and i don't like to depend on the government to teach me everything. The thing is you can mock me know for preparing for the worst but in that scenario you would run to me with your family when the government collapses.

Since the start of the civil war we lost 18,5% of the forest we now only have 4% mostly in the south and almadow mountain range.

That's crazy when you think about it we could have more forests than the uk since we have more unused land mass.

Somalia could literally be a mystical paradise if we plant more trees strategically.

f*ck just discussing it! who wants to organise an event with me next summer where we buy seeds and inquire with the government for permission to start our own tree planting campaign.

:hmm:

We have too much-unused land, Somalia is also much bigger than the UK. Somalia's population is comparable to greater London area lol, our goal should be to restore that 18.5 % in the coming years and stop charcoal trades in the country.
