I was trolling and maybe overexaggerating before but I'm actually being sincere in that last message. Even ask the guy with the mixed step father he probably felt awkward and emasculated at first. Its like a innate human response to having a new head honcho of the house. You still think of urself as your father son but u take orders from someone else so it takes time to become accustomed to.

Yeah, I think I used the wrong word. My thought process was that if a son has this sense of adoration, love, and respect for another man like he does for his biological father, he has to be homosexual. But I think that was a non-sequitur and inconsiderate on my part. I regret adding the homosexual part.
Yh no probs homosexual is literally you having feelings for the same gender. This obviously isn't the case with the step dad and step son. It's simple the step father stepped in as the father figure and the step son in return is appreciative of his step dad role in his life and highly respects him because of it. That is a healthy relationship that everyone should look up to.
I knew one he had a daughter with the girl he seemed to be cool, he was religious, he did have a criminal past, so Somalis around my circle were low-key against the marriage(also cause he's ajnabi), but generally he was around everybody. But then the guy went crazy and was telling somalis in the community to leave the country and get rid of their American passports since its "gaalo passports" the girl divorced him cause he went insane he left to some west African country I think Ghana or Nigeria, and the kids he was step father too are older then me, one was a F up the girl he was a step father has a nice career in faang now. The only son he had with her has no contact with him.

I've heard of a story from Birmingham that a Somali lady with a full Somali child from her previous marriage who went and married a ajnabi guy who went on to repeatedly the child. I call my stepfather ‘Aabo’ and he says the same thing to me, he has raised me since I was 2. Everyone knows I’m not his biological daughter and I always claim my own lineage but I call him Aabo same way that some Somali people call an elderly lady Hooyo or Maamo out of respect.
