Weirdly, my half Yemeni cousins tend to look one of two ways:

1) Surprisingly Somali looking. Like, they'd straight up pass easy.

2) Somewhat off, almost like they're a pretty MENA leaning Sudani-Arab.

Have yet to see one that actually looks Yemeni. Nothing like Cadcads, though. Which makes sense cos Cadcads are not a straightforward Somali+Arab mixture but something a whole lot more diverse:





Huh? You replying to me? But you know I do have half Italian relatives. One uncle married an Italian woman (he recently passed away) and had several children with her. Believe they were together right up until his recently and aged death. (AUN) But I've never met the wife or even my uncle (only saw him as a little kid and I can't really remember). But I have met one or two of his "kids" who were old enough to be my parents.

Yeah I live in an area with lots of cadcads and most, I'd say about 80% look mulatto. But at the same time there is a good chunk of them that look like tanned arabs akin to south yemenis.

I’ve heard somalis genes are quite dominant against MENA genes.

My auntie is half Yemeni and she looks very Somali; though if you see her too often you‘ll see a little mix in her.

They’re a tad bit lighter (and that depends on whether the Arab parent is brown (like Indians) or the Mediterranean-type of skin colour which is more prevalent). Cad-Cads are much more exotic and probably have more Bantu blood.

I had an uncle (AUN) who married a white Canadian women.

My hooyo once told me an apparently true story that had me heaving. Some Jamaican Muslim dude married a Somali girl and they were really happy and everything with her family actually being fully accepting based on his religiosity. Well, uhh, one day this "Jamaican" decided to interject during a Soomaali conversation between his wife and her hooyo and revealed that he was reer madowweyne. Wife fainted on the spot, hooyo had a meltdown "Gabartay aa nin j-word aroostay?! AAAAAAAAH!" aa ka dhacay and the marriage summarily imploded on the spot.

If you mean the second one, my abti really regrets it but it's not like that will make up for it. Is what it is. As for the first, I found that pretty messed up myself cos, from the impression I got, it wasn't like she was even promiscuous or disloyal or anything.
