They didn’t. My parents arent as well off as they were when my older siblings were in school. I’m nowhere near even halfway done with school, or my tuition.
I went on CreditKarma and looked at my credit reports to see where I was at. It was so bad, I had to get a secured card.
Get a secured card, and spend responsibly (never late payments), then apply for better cards as your numbers go up. My first secured card, I put 1k down in cash for a DiscoverIt Secured, which is one of the few secured cards that gives you points and rewards, and after 6months or so, you get your money back and a credit limit increase along with it with responsible use. I’ve decided I’d rather work two jobs, (with one where I could study for 80% of the shift) for Undergrad and pay as I go. And I payed off a portion of my debt that way too. I honestly was such a brat not too long ago, and never would have imagined myself doing this, but you have to adult at some point. Student loans can really put you in a whole if you’re not careful.
What country is that?
