@Bohol Shaigiya are the most Arab of the main Arabized Sudanese tribes (excl. Rashaida who are recent Saudi migrants).

You can still see the Bantu genes in them (the big noses). Damn Bantu genes are strong. North Sudanese girls on average have big noses.

Lol, they don't have any true Bantu genes (as in from Swahili countries etc). They have Nilotic and possibly West African Sahel ancestry, but overall minimal.

Bejas look the most like Somalis, but weren't featured in that clip.

North Sudanese should not be claiming to be Arabs (at least the vast majority) when most of them look like this. It is better they identify with their African side.

They lost their old languages.... at least most of them. They speak Arabic as their first language.

Geopolitically impossible.. no sea access for Sudan, you think they will allow that?
I just thought them having their own country would be cool but yea since they’re native to the coast it’ll be difficult for North Sudan to allow that

Sudan GDP per capita PPP: $4700
Somalia: $600

Epic fail.

That's a pretty high GDP per capita for Sudan. How recent are these numbers? If it's anything past 2012, it's great cause they lost a huge chunk of the oil revenue to the South Sudanese. In addition, I would love to see the number for income distribution aka Gini coefficient to see what the gap between the rich and poor is like.

Khartoum looks way more developed than any city:
