Depends on the parents I guess.

I baked off when I was younger and got taught the culture and met my family

So those who suffer the most have parents
who doesn't care about the environment or the care their child gets as long as their children isn't a burden anymore?

In other words it's not the daqan celis that's bad but the negligence of the parents yes?

Could say so definitely. I know people with both parents living with them and they turn out qashin. They can’t use excuses such as no father figure no mother figure lol.

but some parents are short sighted. If your child was bad in the uk. Trust me it’s even worse back home. They are exposed to more bad things.

Went to Somalia for dhaqan celis but did not change at all. I wasn't even bad in the first place, my af soomaali improved a little I can make sentences, but I learnt no diin/good manners there.I witnessed the opposite. For me it was opposite I learnt lots of things about Islam on YouTube and my mum. Too much xin/jealousy, fights, rudeness, people there are cold hearted, possession, sixr to me Somalia is worse than london and British people are passive aggressive and ain't gonna use a razor to slit your delicate face. How many dangerous fights did I witness!
The only thing I enjoyed was nature and my lovely animals.

Maybe it was the city I went to but I don't know.

Dhaqan celis was the best time of my life. I chilled in Xamar, ate all kinds of fruits, chilled at liido, baked off in Jazeera. Was living it up in baadiye too. Let off some shots and drove a car while never having drove one before and being underaged kkkk
That Dhaqan Celis experience, or as my parents called it, long-term holiday with them, was the thing that laid the foundation for my life. It was the best experience for me , eating a fruit, taking pictures in the middle of the sea, being chased down by younger, late-night football on the astro-turf. Oh, how I loved it. Travailing around Africa was truly one experience I will never forget.

The concept of daqan celis isn’t bad. But no one is gonna care for your kids like you. And once you send a kid there, a lot of these people will treat them like sh1t cause in their eyes it’s a bad kid. If your own parents don’t want you, then you are trash in their eyes. I would never put a kid in a Somali madrassa

When you played football in the Astro there was nothing more annoying then having to take off your shirt (after going a goal down). If we was playing normally I wouldn’t mind playing with my shirt off but it’s something about the situation at that moment in time. It gets you angry.

We had "Mangers" - (Fat Guys who had refused to play) and referees with a gun and a Red Card only. I have never seen a more corrupt football match in my life. Taking of the shirt, I only seen this in Lido, and heck, it was painful and weird, for a nigga like me. On the Astro, well, that was just the defonition of corrupt football. Fouls outside the box becomes penalty, and dare talk to referee in a wrong way, red card. At end of match, gun is shot to the air to symbol end of match. No whistle.

Loved it.

Those guys would be annoying. Would always be the last people to want to remove the shirt. I felt bad so I always took the first hit when we conceded a goal.

You had it calm, I cannot believe the amount of times we got chased down by the opposing team. Never ever have we finished a match in peace, and went home happily. NEVER. The worst one is when the other team refuses to follow the rules or even worse, the referee supports them.

Basketball is one game I never ever want to see played in Somalia. Travailing became normal, and nothing is being done about it. You complain, you go was the answer I got every time. You might as well go from one side of the court to the other

But I enjoyed school there, being 11 and went to high school(form 2) met lots of Somalis from all over the place.

Dhaqan Celis is good in theory with parental supervision and nurturing.

dhaqan Celis is , today , a misguided attempt to culture kids who most times ain’t even that bad- done by parents too lazy to put the effort into their kids themselves and decide to push it on to others :manny:
