Many things said here aren't quite right. Firstly, Afars aren't even close to being the majority in Djibouti. Also, the conflict isn't just between Afars and Cisse; Afars see it more as a clash between them and with Somalis. Dr. Osman's criticism of Djibouti seems insincere because he's against Djibouti's because of the harm they have caused for Somalinimo, yet he doesn't like nationalist feelings among his own kinsmen. While Somali clans often fight, siding with outside forces against fellow Somalis is a big problem.
The idea of a secret alliance between Hawiye, Isaaq, and Cisse, along with "Irirism,"is a conspiracy theory. When Somaliland declared itself indepedent and Ali Mahdi formed a government with MJ it was dead as any serious political grouping.
During the SSC conflict, Somalia didn't have the resources to step into conflicts, it has no troops, equipment or finance to spare. Recent moves by President HSM suggest a push to remove Somalilanders from top government positions, any statement alluding to an Iririst plot can be explained away if you have some basic reasoning.
Djibouti borders Somaliland, so it's natural for them to want to prevent Somaliland from falling apart. Djibouti simply cannot handle a refugees stream many times its own population from Somaliland.
Djibouti, led by IOG, has always backed Somalia's unity and growth. Djibouti would benefit from a stable Somalia, both economically and geopolitically, as it would strengthen its position against Ethiopia's expansionist goals, which all countries in the horn have to deal with.
The one thing that has been accepted as fact but hasn't been proven is the extent of Djiboutian support to Somaliland during the conflict. There's limited and difficult-to-verify footage of those "American humvees." Additionally, stories have circulated about Djibouti providing aid to those trying to establish an Awdal state. Why would they give military equipment that could potentially be used against other actors they support?
Blaming Djibouti for the 4.5 clan power-sharing arrangement overlooks the fact that major Somali clans accepted it. Besides this believe that 4.5 uniquely hurts your clan is completely untrue, every outlet show that in Somalia proper the Hawiye are the largest clans, and that the most fertile and densly populated ones are found among the Raxanweyn, these are clans taking a parliamentary hit from the current 4.5 when it comes to seat arrangements.
You express a desire for Cisse's death. In another post, you mentioned joining Al-Shabaab if their goal was to genocide Habr Gidir. How can anyone take you seriously after saying such things? You spend a lot of time making hateful comments about other clans. I have never seen @DR OSMAN use any references or sources. The man only writes about his opinions and spicy takes on all matters. To him if you're not from PL, you're either an enemy or an enemy in the making. All I can say is for none Puntlanders his posts have no substance. Don't take him seriously!
