Another thing that isn't talked about when it comes to the situation between faraxs and xalimos is the role of our parents.

Our parents would tell us to stay away from the opposite sex at all costs(even though when they were young, they were shukaansi'ing like there's no tommorow) all this did was make us awkward around our opposite sex somali counterparts but normal around ajanabi.

I went to xamar last year and this weird awkward energy does'nt exist among the youth there, shukaansi is as normal as drinking water.

I haven't seen any love for somali women other than hate from everyone these past 7 months. I feel like us Somali girls can't recover from this. However I have seen few love for somali men these couple of months, Somali guys would have excelled more than Somalin girls if it wasn't for the typical barkhad stereotype and fobs. If yall showcase your more like West africans and weren't acting like nerds on social media, you would surpass many.

Somalis back home, socialise with each other regardless of gender, and boys/men back home are confident and will approach anyone.

I think anti Somali bullying mainly focuses in the UK because we only came here in the 1990s and we were completely outnumbered by madows and cadaans in school. So yeah my point is this is only a UK issue I don't see Scandinavian Somalis or north American Somalis going through this issue matter of fact they love us over in the states
